Note: There are lots of other great LRP events, resources, weapon-makers etc. out there. We’ve just included a few of our favourites.

General LRP resources

Pagga is the UK’s best Live Roleplay forum, and hosts our Hyborian Tales forums: http://www.pagga.com

Tallows is our favourite LRP weapon manufacturer: http://tallowsfx.com/

The Second Skin LRP Resource has good advice on safe LRP weapon and arrow construction, among other things: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/here-be-dragons/pages/lrp.htm

Adventurer's Mart is something like an LRP "Department Store" with costume, armour, weapons by the well-respected Medlock Armoury, bows and crossbows, and probably the best price in the business for LRP-safe arrows (for all you Picts and Bossonians out there): http://www.adventurersmart.co.uk/menu.htm

Other high quality LRP games

Maelstrom is a large-scale colonial fantasy system: http://www.profounddecisions.co.uk/index.asp

Dumnonni Chronicles run events based on Celtic myth, legend, and history: http://dumnonni.com/welcome.php

Dark Times run small-scale horror/investigation events set in 14 th century England: http://www.geocities.com/dledt/

Robert E. Howard, Conan, and Barbarian Resources

The Robert E. Howard United Press Association publishes a Howard magazine and has a number of superb scholarly articles available on their website: http://www.rehupa.com/

The Heroes of Dark Fantasy website is a great general overview of sword & sorcery heroes, but the Conan section is particularly superb – in fact, this is probably the greatest resource on the web for information about Robert E. Howard’s Hyborian Age: http://www.dodgenet.com/~moonblossom/heroesof.htm

The official Robert E. Howard website has more information on the creator of the Hyborian Age: http://www.rehoward.com/

The Barbarian Chronicles is the website of Thor the Barbarian, chronicling his “Larger than Life Adventures in the Real World” as he interviews modern day people and organisations who try to recapture some of the spirit of the Barbarian: http://www.thorthebarbarian.com/

The Free Companions re-enact the Hyborian Age, and their website and mailing list are good sources of ideas: http://www.geocities.com/baldurstrand/hyboria/free.html
