Hyborian Tales Staff Biographies
Meet our core crew, the Hyborian Tales Staff.
Bridie Przibram
Bridie Przibram has been a professional theatrical costumier since
1986, making costumes for an enormous number of theatres and dance
companies as well as TV and film. She has been live roleplaying,
and making LRP costume, since 1989. Bridie made many of the frock-coats,
britches, and flouncy shirts sported by the Freebooters Alliance,
as well as items of pure fantasy, Viking, Celtic, and High Medieval
costume. She is also a belly-dancer and published writer.
Andy Rimmer
Sally Roberts
Sally started LRPing in 2003 when dragged along
to meet some pirates. Always willing to give anything ago, especially
if it involves pirates, Sally discovered her love for cross country
pantomine. Having tried out SHARDS events and Profund Decisions'
Maelstrom Sally found that her love lay not in the playing of
the characters but in the crewing. She became a regular attendee
of the Shards events as a crew member. But unfortunately work
commitments meant she eventually had to give it up. Still an enthusiast
she is pleased to have been included in the Hyborian Tales crew.
Willing to lend a hand and do the jobs no-one else wants to do,
Sally is a very organised and bossy person. She is also a semi-professional
belly dancer.
Ian Sturrock
Ian Sturrock works full-time as a writer of tabletop roleplaying
games. His games have won several awards and been nominated for
many more. As the writer of the licensed Conan OGL Roleplaying
Game (Mongoose Publishing) he has a unique insight into the particular
style that any Hyborian game must have to properly reflect Howard's
themes. He has been live roleplaying since 1983 and has run a
number of one-off events, including The Legacy (Cthulhoid 1720s
pirate horror), Mossfest (Scooby-Doo style pirate LRP), and Cutlass
Island (think It's a Knockout meets Pirates of the Caribbean).
He has extensive circus and theatrical experience including construction,
costume-making, props, prosthetics, lighting, stilt-walking, and
fire performance. Ian is also a 15th century re-enactor and has
a keen interest in historical combat of all kinds. In Hyborian
Tales, Ian will be writing rules and adventures, as well as refereeing
and assisting with any other task that needs doing, from fletching
arrows to building temples.
Pete Wardle
Graham Warr
Graham has been a LRPer for nearly 20 years and
was the principal writer of Advent LRP's Lost World (probably
best described as a cross between Jane Austin, Flashman and Tarzan)
and Flyin' Lead, Walkin' Dead (imagine Buffy goes to Dodge City),
as well as a number of one off games. In addition to his writing
and research credits, Graham is also an experienced costume and
prop maker. Graham has been involved in various historical groups
and projects (the largest of which was building a Tudor farm)
spanning from the Romans to the English Civil War, and in a former
life gave talks and demonstrations on many aspects of these periods.
